Me and Bill 67 hunted around some old schools and a church and hit the silver big time.
This is day one of our hunt with the guys from Diggers and Garrett Metal Detectors hunting one of our favorite sites. We were contacted by Garrett to do a video with the guys. Fortunately we had a decent site lined up. It would have sucked to have to take them to the local park! Visit our website at www.HighPlainsProspectors.com for more information on metal detecting and treasure hunting supplies. We split up in teams and had a friendly competition (no, the losers did not have to jump in a scummy pond). We found a little of everything and a lot of iron. This town we are detecting was raided by guerillas and eventually evacuated by the US military. Supposedly it was subjected to a lot of violence and the bullets we found seem to prove this to be true. Probably my favorite finds ...

What an Amazing Adventure out on the river! I found lots of awesome things with my AT Pro, while searching for my friend's lost wedding ring. After 10 hours of Metal Detecting I recovered many rings, one is a 14K Gold wedding band, but it is not the one I was looking for. Joe's ring is still somewhere in the river, next time we may find it. My best finds from this trip are the Iphone 6 (Which I had returned to the owner), The Rings, Waterproof Lumix Camera and the nice shades. Link to the metal detector I use: https://www.battleground-detectors.com/shop/garrett-metal-detectors/94-garrett-at-pro-pro-pointer-at.html This video was filmed with my Olympus camera. Here's the link http://amzn.to/2ki8HIG , these camera are rugged! I will have more videos of detecting in the river coming soon!...

The secret is hidden in a poem that starts like this: "Begin it where warm waters halt." Zack wrote an entire feature filled with maps, illustrated clues, and even more video. You can read and watch here: http://www.vox.com/a/fenn-treasure-hunt-map Sometime between 2009 and 2010 an 80 year old man by the name of Forrest Fenn trekked out into the Rocky Mountains and hid a bronze chest filled with over $2 million dollars worth of treasure. The secret to the location of the treasure is contained within a six stanza poem. Forrest Fenn's treasure, as it's come to be known, has captivated men, women, and children around the country and world and has lured many people to the Rocky Mountains in the hopes that they'll find the gold. PERRY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) http://www.kfvs12.com/ The latest U.S. drought monitor doesn't contain much good news for the Heartland. Our drought calculator shows the Heartland is already 136 days into the drought, and the latest update shows it's actually gotten worse in Missouri. Nearly all of Missouri and Nebraska are in extreme or exceptional drought, and the report finds Illinois and Kansas aren't doing much better. For the Lewis and Clark in all of us, the drought situation may just have a silver lining. The low river levels are perfect for explorers out looking for treasures. Tower Rock in Perry County, Missouri is a fascinating Heartland landmark island in the Mississippi River. It is a popular area for tourists and locals. "Never have seen it down this low," said Lacey Coyle. ...
